The Biggest Question…Pricing and what’s included!

Lauren Madison • Dec 20, 2018

You’re Engaged! Congratulations!

You probably have a million thoughts, emotions and questions running through your mind. Some of the big ones might be…where are we going to host the wedding? What is this going to cost us? How do I know what to budget for each vendor? What do venues include? What don’t they include?

Chances are, this is your first time planning an event of this nature, especially one with ALL your loved ones in attendance. You want this to go off without a hitch. No pressure, right? Bella Sera is here to help you do just that, and we guarantee we have a package to fit your needs perfectly! If not, we will create one just for you!

We get asked many questions regarding our price points and what exactly they include. We are happy to breakdown our wedding packages for you and tell you why our packages include so much and make your planning 10x easier than you may think!

The Venue

Total sigh of relief that all our packages include “the venue”. Think tables, floor-length linens, napkins, mahogany chiavari chairs, china, flatware, glassware, waitstaff, bartenders, day-of event managers, bridal suite for day-of prepping, setup, clean-up, teardown. Having a venue like us that takes care of all these “basics” for you is a life saver.

The Food

We prepare all of our catering on-site right here at Bella Sera, and it’s included. So, not only do we take care of the “venue,” but now we are here to help design your menu (bonus: you get to try out all the options at our annual menu tasting event). Our amazingly talented Chef Giuseppe and his team know how to please your taste buds, and we promise they will leave your mouth watering for more!

The Bar

We take care of arranging your bar selections for the evening. All of our packages start you off with our house bar with liquors, beer & wine. We also offer a premium bar upgrade available for extra liquor & beer options to be included. Depending on your package, the bar will remain open for either four or five hours, with the option to add more time at the end of the evening.

The Packages

Now that you know we always include the “venue”, food and bar in our packages, you have the opportunity to stick with one of our “a-la-carte” packages (Silver, Gold or Platinum). Choosing one of these packages will give you the opportunity to interview & hire your own vendors, if that’s what you prefer.

If you are looking to keep things even more streamlined through us, we offer an ALL-INCLUSIVE Signature Saturday or Fabulous Friday deal. Not only do you receive the Silver package WITHIN these options, but you are ALSO receiving:

  • A Wedding Photographer
  • DJ Service
  • Wedding Cake

included ALL THROUGH BELLA SERA! (Don’t worry, we only partner with the best vendors around). This allows you to hire a florist and design your little personalized touches. (And pick out a wedding dress, of course)!

Could it get any better? Of course it can! Our Winter Wedding Spectacular, the newest deal to our line- up and includes the most out of all our packages (hello to our winter-loving brides, now is your time to get excited)! Not only are you receiving the “venue”, food, bar, Wedding Photographer, DJ Service and Wedding Cake…but you are also getting a Winter Wonderland Photobooth setup for the reception and a rocking PopRock Electric Violin Performance for cocktail hour! (Nothing is quite as charming as a live cocktail music performance)!

And finally, we offer a Brunch Wedding package! For a more relaxed atmosphere, think about a make-your-own-mimosa, Bellini & Bloody Mary bar…. carving, crepe, omelet, make-your-own-waffle bar with deliciously sweet toppings….it doesn’t get more fun-loving than this! Hint: It’s a great option for those destination wedding couples out there to come back to Pittsburgh and celebrate with family and friends!

The Prices

Silver - $120

Gold - $130

Platinum - $140

Signature Saturday - $150

Fabulous Friday - $135

Brunch - $39.95 & up

All packages are plus 22% production charge and 6% applicable tax. Minimums Apply.

Please ask for more details & click here to view more specifics!

FAQ

What is this production charge you ask? It’s 22% on your final invoice which covers the basics of us hosting your event. This includes setup and cleanup costs, labor, minor wear and tear to the facility and equipment and other non-itemized costs associated with running the event. This is standard anywhere you go, so make sure you are calculating this and the local sales tax your budget!

In today’s society, we can see a true blend of both sides’ tastes and the creation of some new customs, breaking some of the “regular” traditions that are well-known. Weddings now pave the way as the beginning of a new life together to also showcase some new evolvements from the historical conventions.

Whether it is a long journey from another state or a short trip across the river, families travel to be with each other during the holidays. Yes, someone has to be the host. It’s been that way since the dawn of modern times. We have all been there; your brother, sister-in-law and the kids have just arrived. Hugs and kisses abound, coats are taken, beverages are offered and there’s a feeling of familiar holiday excitement in the air. The adults do the catch up chatter about the drive (or flight), work, sports and life in general as the kids excitedly show their cousins their latest apps & social media escapades. Even the dogs sense the energy in the room and are engaged in a rousing game of fetch. All you want to do is relax and chat, but you need to get your apron on again and get back into the kitchen because that bird isn’t going to cook itself. In addition to the daunting task of actually preparing the food, you have most likely been stressed at some point, for weeks prior. What should the menu include? Should you stick with the family traditions or try something new? Where can you get all new placements and napkins two days before the holiday without breaking the bank? Bella Sera is here to take the stress out of prepping and cooking so you can spend more time with your family and more time browsing for the perfect place setting online. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas catering includes all the favorites, tastefully prepared by our expert culinary team and ready to be simply reheated and served. A la carte items are available, but the real showstopper is our complete meal which includes enough options to please even the pickiest family members. It’s traditional, with tiny twists. You can even tell everyone all about your “new secret recipes you spend hours sourcing, preparing and cooking” and your secret is safe with us!

Maybe you’ve been planning your dream wedding for a decade, or maybe you just started. You might be most excited about finding the perfect dress (or jumpsuit , for the on-trend bride), or fantasizing about a jaw-dropping venue . But something you should add to your list of Wedding To-Dos is “consider guest accommodations.” Whether guests will be staying with you, your family, or in a hotel, we’ve done most of the thinking for you… after all, wedding planning should be stress-free. Plus, it’s a great chance to impress the future in-laws. Hosting at home? If you’re considering the more intimate and affordable option of hosting your out-of-town guests in your home, you’ll want to ensure they’re going to be comfortable and relaxed. Sure, your house or apartment isn’t a hotel, but that doesn’t mean you can’t provide thoughtful and stylish accommodations that would put Martha Stewart to shame. 1. Give them their own space: What’s nicer than being able to close a door behind you when you’re ready for a little solo time? If you don’t have a guest room, try a stylish room divide r to give visitors a private space they’ll love. 2. Make sure there’s easy access to food and drinks: Bottled water and some snacks are never a bad thing, plus guests won’t have to tiptoe around in the middle of the night looking for a water glass. 3. Identify nearby things to do: You’re going to be busy. If guests need to kill time for a couple of hours before the big event, provide a list or map of nearby restaurants, cafes, or farmers markets they can explore. They’ll probably fall in love with the area so much, they’ll ask to stay longer (It’s okay to politely decline). 4. Make sure everything is clean clean: This might sound like a no-brainer, but it’s easy to get used to a slightly weird smell in your downstairs bathroom or wine stain on the countertop. If cleaning is just *not* your strong suit, bribe your type-A friends with a 6-pack or, best case scenario, hire a housekeeper for a day. 5. Make breakfast an event: Who doesn’t love waking up to the smell of bacon? Get your guests excited and ready for the day with a fun (and maybe boozy) breakfast. Today is the day! 6. Take time to appreciate them: This weekend is all about you, but your guests have probably done a lot to get there, including taking a day off from work. Take a moment to tell them how much you appreciate them celebrating this special day with you.

Wedding cake isn't for everyone. For couples who have allergies, couples who don't particular like cakes, or couples who don't want to spend the $450+ on a single pastry , there are good alternatives. Really, just about anything can become a wedding cake if it's placed in a tiered structure with some kind of topper. These five, tasty, alternative wedding cakes look lovely when placed in tower form at the center of a reception table. Pies, Pies and More Pies For many people, pies are the natural alternative to cakes. One pie is often not as large as a single wedding cake, so for a standard sized ceremony, many pies are required to feed all guests. Choosing a range of pies, from fruit-based pies to custards, helps ensure that all guests will find something they like. You can spread your pies around the dessert table, but be sure to choose a principal pie, one that stands out as the pie for the couple. You can even place a decoration at the top of the pie, such as a statue of a couple or a whimsical ornament. Wedding Pancakes Pancakes are easy to stack, fun to look at, and can be topped with anything. A stack of wedding pancakes can even be tiered. Pile the largest pancakes on the bottom, medium-diameter pancakes in the middle and the smallest pancakes on the top. This is a smart choice for couples who don't want a big party or flashy decorations, but rather, a nice brunch with close friends following a morning ceremony. Pancakes are humble but sweet. They're easy to decorate with flowers, fruit or a little bride and groom statue. A Tower of Donuts Do you have a sweet tooth? Are you hoping to keep your wedding ultra casual? Why not serve your guests a tower of donuts and coffee? Donuts make a wonderful wedding cake because they're inexpensive and colorful. You'll save a ton of money too, by bypassing the expensive bakery. Tiered Cupcakes So you can't decide on the type of wedding cake to get for your guests? Why not offer a range of cupcake choices instead? Set up your cupcakes on a tiered structure and arrange them by type. Ask the baker to paint a symbol or sign on the top of each cupcake to indicate what type of cake it is. At the top of the tiers of cupcakes, place a small one- or two-tiered cake for the bride and groom. Delicious Local Fruit If you're getting married on a tropical island, this colorful display will make your guests’ mouths' water. Stack the fruit up high enough so that it rises almost above the eyes of the guests. For ease of use, include fruits that can be easily picked from the stack, like grapes. Also, sample all the fruits before picking the type of fruit to be in your tower. At the top of the tower, place an exotic flower to provide focus. Guests and couples on a diet will truly appreciate this healthy alternative to a wedding cake! Contact Bella Sera Planning your wedding? Contact Bella Sera for an appointment.
